To Happiness

A person suffering from CP (cerebral palsy) loses his home and all means of subsistence. Only extraordinary strength of will and perseverance can help the hero not just to survive, but to live.

"To Happiness" is the World's First Feature Film starring a person with cerebral palsy.

It is a story of Gregory who suffers from cerebral palsy. It begins when the man loses his home.  Without money, work, friends and family, Gregory begins his difficult and extremely eventful journey to happiness. With no education or profession Gregory works as a watchman and clown, washing dishes and lighting fires. He works wherever he can to earn a living.

During the film, Gregory communicates with an imaginary mother, whom he first saw in an orphanage. But instead of supporting her child, the imaginary mother herself often becomes the cause of the character's nervous breakdowns. She really does not want Gregory to find his biological mother. But this desire is exactly what guides many actions of the protagonist. And at the end, he finally asks his mother: «why did she leave him.»

Gregory, like anyone, sincerely desires love. And one day on the bridge, from which he was about to throw himself, he finds a girl who touches every heart strings.

About the film: Gregory is played by the actor with a mild form of motor syndrome Grigoriy Hryshkan. The festival premiere of the film in Ukraine took place on December 3, 2020 at the 12th National Festival of Social Advertising, where the film won 2nd place in the nomination «Social Cinema».
